Kinar Pustaka Foundation work in partnership with SOKOLA to develop the SOKOLA Wailago school and community program in 2005, located in Wailago island, the largest island in Nusa Tengara Timur (NTT). The study showed there was a devastating tsunami that hits Wailago in 1992 which destroyed the only primary school in the island. In 2000 there was a massive landslide which destroyed many homes. As the result 90% of the community there was illeterate.
